We met Shannon and Roberto at and Tampa Bay bridal show and were so excited to learn they were hosting a Treasure Island Beach Lions Club wedding, as we also got married there seven years ago! It’s a great private location on the beach, which allowed us to take some stunning bridal portraits of Shannon, without any distractions of unwanted vacationers. We loved that photographing their wedding was reminiscent of OUR special day.
“We weren’t really sure [what we wanted in a Tampa Bay wedding photographer] until we met Marilyn, then we just wanted HER! Her work was stunning!” Shannon gushed. “She had told us how she and her husband had been married at the Lions Club, and I knew she’d know the best spots for perfect photos. We just felt really comfortable with Castorina Photography & Films and loved their work.”
The Largo bride and groom kept their wedding day easy going and fun, which was a reflection of their personalities.
“We just really wanted it to be laid back and a good time for all of our friends and family,” Shannon explained. “Looking around and seeing all of the people we love most in the world just all having a blast together was really special for me.”
Shannon and Roberto’s Treasure Island beach wedding reception was ivory, champagne and gold with lots of candle light and soft lighting.
“We bought almost everything and made it all our own. We had a lot of small touches and details for our wedding guests,” the bride shared. “It was truly a mix of everything we love and sharing it all with the people we love the most!”
Roberto proposed the day before Valentine’s Day. I was at work at the salon, in the middle of a haircut, and Roberto came in with one niece throwing rose petals everywhere, another niece carrying roses and chocolates and a friend recording and playing music. He got down on one knee and proposed, and I snatched the ring right out of the box and said, “YES!”
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We weren’t really sure until we met Marilyn, then we just wanted HER! Her work was stunning!
We met her at a bridal show. While talking to her about the venue and everything, she had told us how she and her husband had been married at the Lions Club as well. I knew she’d know the best spots for perfect photos. We just felt really comfortable with Castorina Photography and Films and loved their work. It just seemed perfect, and it was!
How would you describe your theme?
It was elegant with golds and champagne colors. I kind of choose different things that I loved and put them all together!
What were your colors?
Our reception was ivory, champagne and gold. I wanted it to be all candle lit with soft lighting. I wore a champagne dress, the bridesmaids wore cocoa and the groom and groomsmen wore tan suits.
