A hidden gem near Dade City, The Lange Farm, embraces country charm and rustic life in the open air. The plantation style Garden House welcomes reception guests to an inviting atmosphere. “We chose our venue and location because we didn’t want a beach wedding and don’t have a ‘home’ church to [get] married in…Traveling out of state was not an option because of elderly family members. This venue gave the feeling of not being in Florida, without traveling, and not being [at the] beach,” the bride shares.
Romantic, elegant, a bit rustic chic, this wedding was all about Southern charm. “Being originally from Georgia,” the bride reminisces, “I knew I wanted a wedding that brought in a bit of Southern charm, but also had my romantic side as the leading focus of the theme.”
She is truly a lady who knows what she wants, and also caring and kind. To accommodate her finance’s wishes, they “had an open bar, and kept the decorations and flowers to a level of loveliness without being over the top or obnoxious,” the bride laughs while explaining.
Bride’s Thoughts on Creating a Truly Unique Wedding
Our colors were, apple red, light pink, ivory, gray and gold. We chose these colors because my favorite color is pink but having a fall wedding, I wanted to incorporate some warmer tones along with it. [Also], I used real cotton in my flowers.
Most Memorable Moments
Some of the more important elements of our wedding were, capturing moments with Nick’s grandmother, our daughter, and my dad with all three of the sisters together. [Also], the first look with Nick, and our first dance.
Bride’s Advice on Choosing a Photographer
We looked for someone who give us a great deal within our budget but yet still provide stunning pictures and a comfortable relationship for the big day. We chose Castorina Photography because…I saw [one of their photos] that I was instantly drawn to. We met with Marilyn…and I just knew we had found our photographer.
My best advice is to book Castorina Photography. The day of the wedding was comfortable because Marilyn and Micah were easy to listen and talk to in regards to what pictures we wanted taken. They made sure that the groom and I were hydrated and caught moments I didn’t even realize had happened. They really care about the couples they work with and want the very best for their pictures.
