Taylor and Romeo’s Tampa wedding featured a waterfront wedding ceremony, followed by a gold, ballroom reception.
“We wanted everything to look nice and feel warm, but didn’t want things to be too fussy and feel stuffy,” the bride explained. “We went with gold, cream, soft pink and small touches of light green.”
The New Orleans couple focused on hosting a Tampa celebration centered around their wedding guests.
“The most important part thing to us was that we were able to celebrate a great day with the people who have been there for us throughout the years,” Taylor shared. “We just made sure there was good music and good food.”
Even the guests who could not attend had the chance to send their well wishes for the bride and groom.
“A really nice touch was that our family and friends who couldn’t make it recorded messages for our DJ to play for us just before we ate. It felt like they were there with us in a way,” the bride reminisced.
Capturing a couple’s Tampa wedding is always meaningful to us, but it’s extra special to have the honor of photographing our friends’ wedding.
“I knew from the outset that I needed a photographer who was organized, reliable and would produce quality shots that didn’t feel ‘run-of-the-mill,” Taylor told us.
“Castorina Photography’s body of work speaks for itself. Marilyn and her team are true professionals and will make you look like a million bucks in your photos. It’s been four months now since our wedding and people still comment on how editorial our photos look.”
My fiancé planned a private brunch with 10 of our closest family members and friends at Antoine’s which is an old-world French/Creole restaurant in New Orleans. My reaction? I cried and cried and cried. I managed to squeak out “Yes” though.
How would you describe your theme?
We knew that we wanted everything to look nice and feel warm, but didn’t want things to be too fussy and feel stuffy.
What were your colors?
My wedding colors kind of just came about. I found some berry colored bridesmaids dresses that I liked and kind of worked everything else around that. We went with gold, cream, soft pink and small touches of light green.
